As much as I admired skateboarding growing up I just never got into it. Sure, I did the hop on a board and nearly bust your #$$ thing but skating just wasn’t for me. BMX, that was right up my alley (sort of). Back when I was a kid I loved riding my bike. First it was the plastic three wheel bikes (loved my three wheeled Knightrider bike)
then came my first BMX with the training wheels around 1986/1987.
The minute the training wheels came off my confidence got a liiiiiiittle to high. You see, for some reason I thought I could pull off a 360 back flip off the edge of the curb and land my bike and myself safely on the pavement (I almost made it, almost.) Maybe, just maybe if I was a smaller kid I could have pulled it off, unfortunately I wasn’t. Instead of pulling off that 360 back flip I wound up flipping backwards and landing face first into the concrete with my head breaking the fall of the bike. The end result was me being rushed to the dentist for two chipped front teeth, a busted up chin and a slight crush to the confidence. That wouldn’t be my last BMX but it was the last time I ever tried to do any crazy stunts. Anyhow, that story brings me to this BMX Flatland bike trick video.
